Job Description

Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for a Machinist to join them. You will report to the Machine shop supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in Chatsworth, CA.

To be considered for the Machinist, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

* High school GED or equivalent

* 10 years or more experience in the machine shop environment fabricating complex parts with extremely tight tolerances.

* 10 years or more experience working with conventional lathe and mill machines.

* Blueprint reading

As a Machinist, you will:

* Interpret blueprints and Manufacturing outlines.

* Set up and operates highly complex work on machines such as: Jig Bore, Grinders, Lathes and Mills, producing production and prototype hardware.

* Proficient in shop mathematics/trigonometry and must know how to apply Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing.

* Use a wide variety of measuring equipment such as: Sine Plates, Micrometers, Height Gauges, Dial Bores Gauges, and Indicators to tolerances of .0005.

* Fabricate fixtures and special cutting tools as required for fabrication and repair of hardware.

* Meet established time standards and rejection rates are held at a minimum.

* Work with minimum supervision/instruction and requires the use of good judgement to make decisions as to the sequence of setup, operations, and the limit of the process.

* Assists lesser-skilled employees.

Salary Range:

Pay range for this opportunity is $35.77-$40 per hour

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, competitive 401K plan with enhanced matching program, and many region-specific benefits.

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
