Do you enjoy working outdoors? Do you like working with your hands? A semi-skilled laborer position at Raccoon Creek State Park may be the job for you. Raccoon Creek State Park is looking for a positive individual who strives to keep the park facilities in good working order for the safe, enjoyable recreation and relaxation of our park visitors.
This position involves manual tasks in construction and maintenance at a state park, including repairing buildings and facilities using trades like carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing. Operating and maintaining vehicles and equipment, constructing forms for cement work, and laying stone walls are also part of the role. Other tasks include ground maintenance, cutting firewood, picking up litter, and loading materials in trucks. Your responsibilities include site preparation, seeding, establishing turf areas, planting trees and shrubs, and painting park buildings. Overall, this position requires a range of skills to ensure proper construction and maintenance of the state park.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Seasonal full-time employment without benefits. The season runs from approximately April to December at which the employee is placed on leave without pay.
Weekends, holidays and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week.
