What you will do

The position of level 1 fire detection technical support reports to the regional supervisor. You will be based remotely, working as part of a larger support team.

You will be in direct contact with system partners, commissioning engineers and end-users. As a member of the technical support level, you will be expected to answer calls, escalate calls when needed, provide installation information and other commonly requested documents, to triage issues for other level 2/3 support engineers.

How you will do it

As level 1 technical support, you will provide product support information to North American, direct and indirect partners. You will support Sofware dongle license generation for our partners in EU and APAC regions. You will do this using company produced software tools to provide solution on site or remotely as per partner requirements.

  • Use of Salesforce to handle and track cases.

  • Answer calls in first line support.

  • Escalate calls when required.

  • Provide commonly requested supporting documents and information.

  • Product specific training will be provided to support constant personal professional development.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronicor relevant experience in fire or security industry

  • Previous fire detection industry within Simplex or Auto call is an advantage but not essential.

  • Working knowledge of fire detection and voice alarm design system is an advantage.

  • Good verbal and written command of the English language, (other languages an advantage)

  • An ability to work under own direction with personal responsibility.

  • General awareness of currents industry trends

  • Understanding of and the application of NFPA and UL standards an advantage

  • Solid business communication skills, with an ability to report movements and meeting notes.

  • Ability to identify need for and develop, processes and supporting materials.

  • Well-versed in MS Office, Salesforce, in company own or 3rd party diagnostics tools.
