Summary:

As a Purchasing Manager, you will lead a purchasing team to ensure timely, quality, cost-effective procurement. You'll ensure performance and results within the team, develop efficient workflows, and lead through influence. You will implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the performance of the purchasing team, providing coaching, feedback, and development opportunities.

  • Developing and implementing efficient workflows and purchasing strategies to optimize purchasing processes, quality and reduce costs.

  • Maintaining supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and managing performance expectations while ensuring timely delivery and quality.

  • Managing vendor relationships to ensure quality and reliability of goods and services.

  • Developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent and a minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years' purchasing experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • A minimum of four (4) years' experience managing Buyers in a manufacturing environment.

  • Demonstrate extensive expertise in purchasing or procurement, while showcasing a track record of successful outcomes

  • Be able to lead a team effectively and provide coaching, guidance and support to team members.

  • Have excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite, purchasing software, Oracle or other ERP systems

  • Have excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.

  • Ability to set and manage goals, allocate resources, and make high quality, timely decisions.

Compensation & Benefits

  • The base pay for this position ranges from $124,000 to $151,000
    per year depending on the geographic market.
  • This position may be eligible for an annual bonus based on performance results.
