Salary Pay Range for This Position:

$73,273.00 - $117,238.00

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Manager l will work closely with Project Managers assisting with projects through the entire project lifecycle, effectively learning and applying the established project management methodology. Project Manager l assists project managers working closely with stakeholders, product owners and end users, to gather business requirements and determine project scope and resource needs to ensure successful completion. The Project Manager l assists to create comprehensive action plans concerning resources, budgets, and timeframes for projects, providing assistance from start to finish, assisting to improve progress, and ensuring project governance is adhered to and adequately documented as outlined by the Project Management Office (PMO). Project Manager 1 will also assist business units with department level projects, following a baseline of the project management methodology specific to department level projects.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

Wescom's Purpose, Mission Statement, Vision, and Core Values should be demonstrated in the way the Division Project Manager carries out their duties on a daily basis. Wescom's Core Ideology should be considered when determining vendor selection, and project execution strategies.

Participate and assist in managing the initiate, plan, execute, control, and close phases of projects. Oversees the day-to-day aspects of assigned projects with regards to scope, schedule, quality, budget, and resources. Helps track project interdependencies, milestones, and deliverables. Helps communicate project risks to the appropriate stakeholders and the PMO in a timely manner.

Collaborates alongside the Project Managers, Business Owners, and end users to develop a detailed understanding of business and user needs, and consults with technical or functional experts to document requirements. Works with project stakeholders or owners to design the goals, success markers and measurements.

Help ensure the appropriate support resources are included early on in projects for appropriate resource allocation as well as review of potential cross platform integration opportunities for a seamless Omni Channel member experience.

Participates in ensuring all new processes and implementations are adequately tested through established quality control processes to minimize negative impact on member service, including regression testing. The Project Manager l will coordinate with Wescom University and Member Contact Center to ensure any changes to products, services, and/or processes as a result of a project, are fully vetted and appropriate staff training is designed, communicated, and delivered prior to full implementation.

Must be able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written form, to all levels of the credit union and to external entities. Provides project updates to the PMO as required.

Works collaboratively with other project managers and staff to ensure mutual attainment of goals and adequate cross-divisional support. Conducts research within the credit union and external to support the division needs.

Liaising with project stakeholders concerning project details and deliverables, analyzing data as required, conducting administrative duties, such as setting up meetings, drafting invoices and drawing estimates, tracking and reporting project progress, performing other duties assigned by the Project Manager II.

Manage department level projects by working with the Business Owner to define the project scope, milestones, timelines, tasks, and resources. Schedule meetings with the project teams to ensure forward momentum. Track and report project status timely to Business Owner and PMO using established procedures.

COMMITTEE PARTICIPATION:

Participates in the Project Management Operating Committee (PMOC). The PMOC meets on a regular basis to review project status, resource allocations, project risks, changes to the project methodology, and training.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

High School graduate. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

Previous financial industry, operations, and customer service experience preferred

Strong written and oral communication skills

Excellent multitasking and organization skills

Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision

Must be detail oriented with excellent problem-solving skills

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Office 365, Teams). Must be proficient in technology applications including the Credit Union's operating system and specialized software required for performance of position.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position may qualify as Remote or Hybrid with a home base at one of Wescom's offices. The Remote or Hybrid status may be discontinued by Wescom in its sole discretion at any time and for any reason or no reason, with or without notice by Wescom or Employee.
