Your Role

To manage the performance of all configuration and distribution services to end users and distributors, ensuring that the company business goals of growth, market share, profitability and customer satisfaction are met.

Roles and Responsibilities

Provide all aspects of ordering components, configuration and distribution services including checking stock and pulling correct items for the assembly of pneumatic tools and all of their accompanying components.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Oversight of local Purchasing, Operations (scheduling), Inventory and Distribution within the APT assembly and configuration center
  2. Participate in problem resolution for any issue relating to inventory or deliveries
  3. Monitor to ensure the proper planning, ordering, and tracking of inbound materials
  4. Ensure the accurate receipt of delivered inbound inventory from local & international product companies, distribution centers, and vendors
  5. Communicate daily with customer service the build requirements to maintain the ability to fill customer orders
  6. Manage daily inbound & outbound freight scheduled with preferred carriers
  7. Liaison activities between vendors, suppliers, and sales representatives, and provide support to sales and management with routine and special requests and projects.
  8. Participate in employee development programs
  9. Manage the workforce and staffing to ensure sufficient manpower is available to maintain parts and equipment flows to meet customer demand
  10. Supervise and work with technicians in the shop to ensure they understand expectations and are performing consistently at a high level.
  11. Make sure all the hours are accurately entered by the technicians using the approved company timeclock methods daily.
  12. Assess the skill levels of the technicians and ensure all technicians (and temporary workers) participate in competence development activities.
  13. Lead, manage, coach, and train employees in a manner that is consistent with our company's culture and management philosophy.
  14. Organize, document, and maintain procedures for all Job functions.
  15. Maintain all assigned resources and facilities to the highest state of readiness possible, following Regional 5S guidelines, and company policies and procedures.
  16. Ensure Configuration center compliance with all Safety and Environmental guidelines set forth by the company and the Group. Manage all safety and training programs for the service center.
  17. Prepare and provide information needed for reporting.
  18. Demonstrate discretion, courtesy, and professionalism in communications.
  19. Communicate warranty issues, equipment reliability issues, and product improvements in a clear, professional manner with key suppliers.
  20. Work to understand and utilize information and communication systems and tools - i.e. SAP, MS Office 365, etc.
  21. Perform other duties as assigned.


To succeed, you will need

Supervisory Responsibility

This position supervises a team, including the following:

  1. Purchasing and Logistics Coordinator
  2. Operations Supervisor overseeing multiple onsite technicians

Education / Experience

1. Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma required

2. Experience working within construction equipment industry

3. Practical related experience in the assembly of multi-component equipment

4. Previous experience with inbound and out bound inventory responsibilities

5. One year experience in the distribution industry
