Position Summary:

The Senior Manager of Product Management (SMPM) works collaboratively with business stakeholders, technical managers and firm leaders to articulate the vision and define the strategic growth for high-value products used by firm wide users and clients. This role is responsible for establishing product roadmaps, supporting the PMO and other team members in executing on projects to deliver on the roadmaps, and leading a team of Business Analysts, UI/UX professionals and Product Managers in support of product definition and delivery.

The Senior Manager of Product Management works to establish common approaches to eliciting product ideas, capturing requirements, and in building product roadmaps. This role understands the importance of building products that are easy to use, and leads the team in the practical application of User Research, Usability Testing and other UI/UX techniques to ensure the best possible user experience for their products.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a portfolio of high-value products for the firm and serve as the functional manager for key team members responsible for defining, growing and supporting those products.
  • Develop and implement product strategies aligned with firm goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Business Analysts, UI/UX professionals, and Product Managers to ensure successful product planning, deployment and support.
  • Establish standard processes, deliverables and templates to ensure consistent and quality deliverables across functions for which they are responsible.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, features, and roadmaps.
  • Conduct market research, stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvement.
  • Serve as acting Product Manager for one or more products - managing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch and support.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and the PMO to ensure timely delivery and quality for product releases.
  • Act as resource manager for the team, allocating team members to other initiatives as needed and under the supervision of the PMO.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, executives, and team members to provide updates on product development progress.
  • Establish framework for collecting and prioritizing feedback and validation from end-users and business stakeholders.
  • Conduct user research, monitor support issues and review usage analytics to gather end-user feedback and insights used to set product direction and plan incremental product improvements.
  • Lead the prioritization of features and enhancements based on user feedback, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team on development of training and support materials, communications and delivery strategies for new product launches.

Job Specifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least five (5) years experience defining, managing, or launching new functionality at a growing software or technology company
  • Knowledge of software for UI/UX prototyping, white boarding and ideation sessions, Kanban board or similar feature management tools
  • Excellent people management skills and ability to mentor and grow team skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours

Expected Pay Range in Los Angeles $143,000 - $196,000
Expected Pay Range in Orange County $136,000 - $187,000
Expected Pay Range in New York, San Francisco & Silicon Valley $149,000 - $205,000


Please note that quoted salary ranges are not guarantees of what final salary offers may be. Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWE provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package
