Compensation Range:

$27.39 - $42.46 / Hour

Expectations:

The LVN Lead supports the physician, medical assistants, and nursing staff in the delivery of healthcare by performing a variety of responsibilities to include, patient care assessments, clinical related tasks, and administrative duties.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required. Diploma from accredited Vocational/Technical LVN program required.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Five years' experience in outpatient medical setting with lead experience preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current unrestricted Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by State of California
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by The American Heart Association

Preferred:
Current Intravenous Therapy (IV) & Blood Withdrawal Certificate

SKILLS:
Quality - Ability to provide and/or support a level of work excellence and accuracy. Recognizes and addresses flaws or errors that others may overlook. * Proven customer service and patient care skills.* Understanding of patient care flow and insurance concepts.* Understanding of cleaning, sterilization of autoclaving procedures. * Understanding of pharmacology and medication administration including oral, SQ, IM and IV medications.* Ability to perform and record quality care testing on designated equipment and determine areas needing improvement.* Ability to problem solve and prioritize work assignments.* Ability to schedule appropriate visits for phlebotomy, testing or other procedures.* Ability to handle provider correspondence and communications as related to clinical care.* Understanding of medical supply ordering and cost containment.* Leadership abilities preferred.* Strong interpersonal skills, especially in the areas of patient and physician relations. Technical - Ability to use software applications and operate technological devices (e.g., computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.). * Strong computer skills, experience with Microsoft office, IDX, or other computerized practice management systems preferred.
