That's why we're looking for a Senior Regional Marketing Specialist to implement marketing and business development strategies to meet the goals of the assigned offices and the practices and attorneys within.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for...

  • Leading implementation and management of short-term and long-term business development and marketing initiatives and strategies
  • Identifying and evaluating opportunities for branding and profile-raising of the Venable brand and the attorneys in the assigned regional offices
  • Developing attorney, practice group, industry, or office-specific pitch materials and responses to RFPs in collaboration with Regional Marketing Managers
  • Coaching attorneys on best practices for marketing content; maintain marketing mailing lists for individuals, as well as assigned regional offices
  • Managing and ensuring timely and effective execution of all marketing events, internal and external; strategizing and developing ideas for events and strategy of go-to-market initiatives
  • Providing tailored support for attorney external conference/event engagement; developing concepts and key messages for marketing materials
  • Mentoring and offering guidance and support to developing specialists and coordinators across the CRO team
  • Preparing various marketing reports; maintaining spreadsheets for tracking and management purposes; maintaining project lists and event/project plans; for all marketing expenses, ensuring compliance with budget policies and procedures

The successful candidate will demonstrate...

  • A Bachelor's degree in related field or education/experience equivalent; a minimum of five years related experience
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with databases and PC applications, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, required; experience working within Interaction or similar CRM strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of website database/technology, intranet database/technology and mass e-mail distribution software
  • Solid understanding of marketing concepts and principles; ability to plan, implement, manage and track results of new business or marketing initiatives
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent attention to detail, and proven ability to develop relationships
  • Skills to manage large internal and external events from developing theme to post-event analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines and business objectives
  • Ability to travel to various marketing/firm events/meetings; occasional extended hour to manage after-hour events

Pay Range for Candidates in California:

$72,000 - $105,000 per year per year

The range provided is the minimum and maximum salary that Venable in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications and location.
