Job Description

Shared Services: IS App Svcs Integrated Data Delivery- (Full Time, Day Shift) -

The Clinical Systems Specialist provides operation support to clinical systems with responsibility to ensure maximum uptime and proper functioning of all middleware support systems. Performs scheduled preventive maintenance (PM), performance and safety testing of medical equipment. Performs medical equipment problem troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and repairs in accordance with departmental policy and procedures. Prioritizes repairs according to the clinical need for equipment use. Repairs equipment to the most cost effective level, according to work order procedure and in compliance with regulating agencies. Performs other duties as needed.



Associate's Degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology or equivalent required. Minimum three years of BMET experience with two years performing IT related support for a specialty area required. Valid Driver's License required at time of hire. Net+ or other comparable certification preferred.

Able to move with agility to transport equipment; maintain hand and finger dexterity to perform basic maintenance tasks; follow general safety protocols. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality. Able to work professionally with colleagues and other Medical Center employees in a manner that generates mutual respect and a positive working environment; work with limited supervision; perform duties while being sensitive to the patient care environment. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Able to perform basic math functions (e.g., add, subtract, multiply and divide); calculate percentages, area, circumference and volume; apply common sense to carry out instructions provided in written, oral or diagram form. Able to organize and prioritize work load; define problems and solutions,; make recommendations; manage time effectively and plan and implement objectives effective. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.
