Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of TRIO programs & Administrative Support Coordinator, the projects Administrative Support Assistant II will provide overall office support to meet the day-to-day needs of the Talent Search (TS) & Upward Bound (UB) programs. The ASAII will provide support to the Director of TRIO programs, Associate Director of TRIO programs, Administrative Support Coordinator, and Advising Coordinators in supporting and maintaining the overall needs of all projects including the maintenance of equipment, office supplies, coordinating, preparing, and processing mailers for TS & UB Program staff, entering student data and securing program participant files, maintain program fiscal records and support in processing work orders, check requests and establishing purchase order for signatures. Assist the program in maintaining and updating program database systems. Work collaboratively and effectively with program participants, parents, and staff of diverse backgrounds, as well as, departmental staff and budget analysts.
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or Equivalent; Associate degree preferred
Two years working in an office setting
Experience in database maintenance, entering data, and generating reports
Working knowledge of office accounting, methods, and procedures
Ability to electronically type forms, summary reports, and memos accurately and efficiently
Knowledge of university policies and procedures to secure campus service
Ability to multi-task effectively and efficiently in high pace environment
Knowledge of electronic calendar system (MS Outlook)
Ability to maintain confidential dynamic and professionalism under any and all circumstances
Strong work ethic and team focused
Experience using computers and compatible microcomputer hardware and software
Must have demonstrated written and oral communication skills
Interpersonal and motivational skills
Ability to work some weekends and evenings
Skills at organizing/prioritizing work to meet all deadlines
Knowledge, Specialized Skills, and Abilities:
Bilingual skills in Spanish and English
Experience working with students and parents from diverse cultural/economic backgrounds
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
This position is employed through The University Corporation (TUC).
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8 am- 5 pm
Full Pay range: $19.26 - $21.50
The anticipated hiring range: $19.26 - $21.50
Time Base: Full-Time
