Overview

TRC is seeking for a highly motivated Senior Program Manager (Design phases) to join our Irvine, California office. This Senior Program Manager (Sr. PM) manages every design phase of significant projects or programs for TRC civil/ structures group on roadway and structures projects in Southern California. These projects will encompass Caltrans, Transportation authorities and other projects. The Sr. PM manages assigned projects from the proposal stage, PAED, PS-E through project Advertisement and Award.

The Sr. PM has experience pursuing projects including putting proposal team together, direct and prepare proposal, lead - organize the team for interview. Sr. PM has experience delivering projects in California for Caltrans and Transportation Authorities.

Act as the Company representative with the client and select subcontractors during the program execution. Negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors. Collaborate with Business Development to market and secure additional work with client. Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.


Responsibilities

  • Review RFQs/RFPs and prepare proposals for project opportunities and manage the interview process.
  • Perform review and management of engineering and design of roadway projects.
  • Prepare preliminary engineering and detailed cost estimates.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets.
  • Direct design drawing and specification packages.
  • Negotiate and communicate with regulatory agencies and staff.
  • Supervise/direct other engineers and drafters.
  • Prepare engineering reports.
  • Assist in leading corporate initiatives.
  • Must have strong communications skills both written and oral.
  • Must be driven to lead project teams, staff and market to new client.
  • Must interface well with and develop a rapport and positive relationship with our clients and employees.
  • Able to create budgets and maintain them on both the project level and corporate level.

Qualifications

  • 15 or more years as a Project Manager for a transportation/infrastructure focused consulting/engineering firm with project experience in roadway design, bridge structures, design, utility, and construction.
  • BS Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Project management should include staff management, budget control, mentoring and resource management.
  • Successful track record of Marketing/Business development to new and existing clients.
  • Project experience on highways and/or bridges, municipal, land development, stormwater and/or infrastructure design and construction.
Compensation: In accordance with local law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition: $210,000-$260,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range

USD $210,000.00 - USD $260,000.00 /Yr.
